Scope

Historia y Comunicación Social (ISSN 1137-0734, ISSN-e 1988-3056) es una revista científica que publica trabajos centrados en la investigación sobre comunicación e historia contemporánea, desde el punto de vista diacrónico. Fundada en 1996, en la actualidad la Revista se publica semestralmente en formato electrónico. Se aceptan para su publicación artículos sobre Historia Contemporánea, Historia del Pensamiento, Historia del Comunicación Social, Periodismo y fundamentalmente, Historia de los Medios de Comunicación. Los artículos enviados para su posible publicación se someten a un sistema de revisión por pares de doble ciego (peer review) con el fin de mantener su estándar de alta calidad. Historia y Comunicación Social representa un espacio para difundir investigaciones, análisis y estudios críticos necesarios para comprender y reflexionar sobre el mundo de la Comunicación desde una perspectiva transversal, abierta y moderna. En su publicación, la Revista adopta, entre otros, principios y criterios como paridad de género, perspectiva generacional, objetividad científica, originalidad de sus artículos, transparencia de su proceso de evaluación y atención a la diversidad, al género y a la inclusión. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
