Scope

Chinese Journal of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is a monthly journal devoted to biology and basic medicine in the life sciences. CJBMB was established in 1985 and originally named as Chinese Biochemical Journal (ISSN 1000-8543, CN 11-2116/Q, from 1985 to 1997). CJBMB, a journal of the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology,is supervised by the China Association for Science and Technology, jointly sponsored by the Chinese Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology together with Peking University, and administered by Peking University Health Science Center. CJBMB has won the third prize of Excellent Sci-tech Journals of the Third China Association of Science and Technology, the title of "100 kinds of outstanding Chinese Journals" of China Institute of science and technology information (2002), and "Excellent Sci-Tech Journal Project" of China Association of Science and Technology(2007). CJBMB is distributed worldwide. It mainly publishes original research articles in either Chinese or English on biochemistry, molecular biology and molecular cell biology in the fields of biology and medicine and the reviews of the latest developments relative to the forward and/or hot topics in these fields. The main paper types of CJBMB include: Invited Reviews, Reviews, News and Views, Young Scientist Forum, Research Papers, Techniques and Methods, Short Communications, Open Question: The Term in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Education and Teaching, and Informational Exchange. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document
