Forensic Science International: Mind and Law is a gold open access journal which promotes the interdisciplinary exchange of ideas between psychiatric, psychological, legal, and other related fields within the forensic spectrum and beyond. To that end, FSI: Mind and Law will publish papers illustrating the intersection of 'mind' and 'law', across the fields of psychiatry, psychology, criminology, neuroscience, sociology, ethics, criminal law, civil and social law, criminal policy, and health service research including delivery of care, with a special significance given to human rights law. The journal will focus on mental disorders and how these sufferings and the resources and deficits of those affected are dealt with in the legal context in different regions of the world. Topics of interest include psychiatric evaluation, assessment and prognosis in criminal, civil- and social law, forensic psychiatric and psychological treatment, relapse prevention, and recovery and rehabilitation. In addition to quantitative studies, the submission of qualitative and mixed-method studies is encouraged. FSI: Mind and Law also invites submissions specifically focusing on the media, culture, law, and theory, and how these areas can inform or serve as an heuristic for modern practices. The editorial ethos of FSI: Mind and Law is guided by principles of social justice, diversity and equality, and human rights. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
