Scope

The EuroBiotech Journal is the official journal of the The European Biotechnology Thematic Network Association (EBTNA) and is published periodically every three months. It covers both the science of biotechnology. The journal publishes peer-reviewed research articles, reviews, brief reports, short communications and opinions in various areas of biotechnology. The EuroBiotech Journal presents the full diversity of biotechnology science, particularly advances in research and developments that open opportunities for exploitation of knowledge, commercially or otherwise, together with discussion and comment on broader issues of general interest and concern. The outlook is fully international. The scope of the EuroBiotech Journal includes the research and industrial aspects of biotechnology, in areas including: Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals; Immunotherapy and Diagnostics; Genetic Engineering; Gene-Editing; Protein Engineering; Genomics; Synthetic Biology; Molecular technologies; Nanotechnology; Bioinformatics and Databases; and Digital technologies and Artificial Intelligence, where they relate to biotechnology. The EuroBiotech Journal publishes only online, and all articles are available on our website free of charge. Each work will receive a unique DOI (Digital Object Identifier) number. The EuroBiotech Journal is committed to publishing works in the field of biotechnology by researchers from all over the World which are innovative and contribute to scientific knowledge. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
