Scope

Surface Technology was founded in 1972. It is headed by China South Industries Group Co., Ltd., sponsored by Southwest Institute of Technology and Engineering, and published by Editorial Office of Surface Technology. It has a high reputation in the field of Chinese surface technology and has a wide author group and reader group. Surface Technology mainly reports on the scientific research, new technologies and new processes in the field of surface technology such as corrosion and protection, friction, wear and lubrication, precision and ultra-precision machining, surface modification of medical biomaterials, biomimetic function surface, and functional films. It is based on industry hotspots, focuses on national strategical objective, highlights key technologies, and emphasizes engineering applications, striving to provide an academic and technical exchange platform for scientific researchers and engineering technicians engaged in related work, so as to promote the high-quality development of relevant disciplines in China, and serve a technical powerful nation. SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal.
