The journal is healthcare workers oriented, focusing on general practitioners, medicine specialists, hospital residents, healthcare providers at communities in urban and rural regions, undergraduate medical students, researchers, faculties in medical schools, and managers and policy makers interested in the development of general practice. The journal covers health policies, laws and regulations, theory and practice in family medicine, updated information on general practice and community healthcare in China and overseas, new hygienic standards, the development of general practice and interdisciplinary sciences, clinical investigations, prevention and treatment of diseases in communities, pre-hospital emergency care, maternal and child healthcare, disease surveillance and healthcare education in communities, rehabilitative and nursing care in communities, the responsibilities, rights and obligations of doctors, and the patient-physician relationship. Furthermore, abstracts from other related journals, academic conference information, community healthcarebases activities held by academic associations and job advertisements are also available. The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document
