Scope

Disaster and Emergency Medicine Journal is particularly focused on innovation and technology applied to disaster and emergency medicine. Original Research on this topic will receive absolute priority, provided that the quality of the manuscript meets the high standards of the journal and can compete fairly with the submis-sions in other areas. The ultimate mission of the journal is building bridges between technology and clinical research that can be beneficial for patients in critical conditionl. In this context, the journal offers Ultrafast review (as explained in the authors’ guidelines) for the following categories of papers in disaster and emergency medicine research: -Medical preparation for mass gathering events- First-in-man studies of novel devices.- Oryginal research on device failure.- Oryginal resarch from pre-hospital and hospital care.- Triage in disaster medicine both extra hospital and in hospital- Toxicological disaster- Military triage translating to civilian disasters- Medical response to collapsed structures- Traumatic injuries- Evaluating patients for exposure to various chemicals, biological and radioactive agents Join the conversation about this journal

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
