Scope

Philologica Canariensia (eISSN: 2386-8635) is an open-access scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Philology, University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. Having been originally created in 1994 as a traditional printed journal, it was converted in 2014 to an online digital format. Its main objective is to disseminate research papers in the areas of Linguistics and Literature from a range of perspectives by providing a platform for national and international scholars and researchers to be able to engage in contemporary academic discussion in the field of Philology. The journal accepts original unpublished scientific research on topics related to Language, Linguistics, Literary Theory, and Literature in Spanish, English, and French-speaking countries, as well as in the area of Classical Studies (Latin and Greek). All papers undergo double-blind peer review by Spanish and foreign experts, which ensures the quality of the research published in the journal.
