Scope

Audiology and Speech Research (ASR) (formerly titled Audiology) covers recent trends related to whole topics of audiology and speech-language pathology conducted by international professionals to provide better possible treatments to people of all ages, from infants to the elderly, who suffer from communication disorders and thus to improve their quality of life. The journal aims to publish the most advanced scientific findings of all aspects of the hearing and speech mechanisms, their related function/dysfunction, and (re)habilitation using state-of-the-art technique and analysis. This journal encourages submission of review papers about current professional issues, research papers presenting basic science and clinical application, various case papers with a unique report or clinical trial, and brief communication with hot topics but never explored. We also invite letters to the editor and papers involved in manufacture and distribution of medical devices. With integrated views from audiologists, speech pathologists, neuroscientists, and other healthcare practitioners, the journal offers highly qualified scientific and clinical information to its readers. This peer-reviewed and open access journal has been the official journal of Korean Academy of Audiology since 2005 and is published in either Korean or English four times per a year.
