Geološki anali Balkanskoga poluostrva publishes original scientific contributions over a wide range of topics in any field of the geological sciences.
The scopes of the journal include the following fields: geodynamics, tectonics and structural geology, geochronology and isotopic geology, stratigraphy, paleobiology, paleontology and biostratigraphy, geochemistry, mineralogy, petrology, sedimentology and palaeoenvironment analysis, subsurface hydrology and geology, geological hazards and other branches of applied geophysics, economic and environmental geology. The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from
