Scope

Research in Social Movements, Conflicts and Change publishes peer-reviewed, original research that has helped define and advance scholarship in social movements, conflict resolution, and social and political change for more than 40 years. Print volumes of RSMCC enjoy a wide library subscription base, and all chapters are also available online through through the Emerald Insight platform, and as part of our Social Science eBook Series Collection. Research in Social Movements, Conflicts and Change generates new knowledge about central aspects of human life: why and how we organize into movements for political and social change, and why and how we engage social conflicts and build peace. Social movement scholars have used the RSMCC series to connect their research with theories of peacebuilding and nonviolence while other scholars have used the series to explore new frontiers in conflict resolution and patterns of violent non-state actors. The series has provided an important home for interdisciplinary and international scholarship at the forefront of research and theory development related to societies' struggles over resources, power, and agency. This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.

Cites per Doc

Evolution of the number of total citation per document and external citation per document (i.e. journal self-citations removed) received by a journal's published documents during the three previous years. External citations are calculated by subtracting the number of self-citations from the total number of citations received by the journal’s documents.
