Scope

Livers (ISSN 2673-4389) is an international, scientific, and open access journal that provides a platform for basic, translational, and advanced clinical research in the multi-disciplinary field of hepatology. It publishes reviews, original research articles, communications, perspectives, brief/case reports, and editorials. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their theoretical and experimental results in as much detail as possible. We also aim to gather the latest, most relevant studies and case series with accompanying systematic literature reviews for instant dissemination in the field of hepatology. There is no restriction on the maximum length of the papers, as full experimental and methodological details, as applicable, must be provided in order that the results can be reproduced. Topics of interest with a view towards liver and biliary sciences include (but are not limited to) the following: Hepatitis (all forms); Alcoholic liver disease; Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH); Liver cirrhosis; Biliary diseases; Drug-induced liver injury; Genetic and metabolic liver diseases and their complications; Liver cancer and drug metabolism; Hepatocellular carcinoma; Liver fibrosis; Immunology in hepatology; Nutrition in hepatology; Pathology in hepatology; Diagnosis and therapy in hepatology. SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
