Scope

Affiliated to: the International Society for Adult Congenital Heart Disease, the Japanese Society for Adult Congenital Heart Disease and the Italian Society of Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology. IJC Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) is an online-only, open-access journal dedicated to publishing Original Articles, Reviews (largely by invitation), Debates (by invitation only), Guidelines, Editorials, CHD Perspectives, CHD Pulse (by invitation only), Abstracts from Meetings and Correspondence reporting on congenital heart disease and related outcomes, technology and innovation, congenital cardiac surgery and catheter interventions, multi-modality imaging, electrophysiology, devices and sudden cardiac death, genetics, pulmonary arterial hypertension, pregnancy and heart disease, life-style issues, patient education and patient empowerment and health policy. Articles must be authentic, educational, clinically relevant, and original in their content and scientific approach. IJC Congenital Heart Disease requires the highest standards of scientific integrity in order to promote reliable, reproducible and verifiable research findings. All authors are advised to consult the Principles of Ethical Publishing in the Journal before submitting a manuscript. Submission ofa manuscript to this journal gives the publisher the right to publish that paper if it is accepted. Manuscripts may be edited to improve clarity and expression. The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
