Scope

The Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine-Update is an international open access peer-reviewed journal covering a broad spectrum of topics within biomedical research and medical practice. The articles explore the revolutionary advances in the application of computer-based medical solutions or proposed methodology applied to the fields of clinical research, translational medicine, informatics, imaging, data-driven care, medical devices, consumer health, nursing and public health. The journal intends to disseminate open access papers of the highest quality and is committed to ensuring a thorough, fair, and rapid review. CMPB Update welcomes articles that promote digital technologies, describe innovative computing methodologies and software systems research that help advance biomedical science, and improve medical care just like its partner journal Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine. The types of articles considered for publication include Original Research, Systematic Reviews and or Meta-analysis, Methodology, Research Letters, Viewpoint, Correspondence (in response to a paper published within three months) and editorials. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
