Drug research requires interdisciplinary team-work at the interface between chemistry, biology and medicine. Therefore, the series Topics in Medicinal Chemistry covers all relevant aspects of drug research, e.g. pathobiochemistry of diseases, identification and validation of (emerging) drug targets, structural biology, drugability of targets, drug design approaches, chemogenomics, synthetic chemistry including combinatorial methods, bioorganic chemistry, natural compounds, high-throughput screening, pharmacological in vitro and in vivo investigations, drug-receptor interactions on the molecular level, structure-activity relationships, drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, elimination, toxicology and pharmacogenomics.
The series critically reviews the present and future trends in medicinal chemistry by publishing topical volumes edited by well-known guest editors in the field. Each topical volume covers the most significant developments of the last 5 to 10 years, and it also outlines the current status and future direction of the area.
Contributions to the series are invited by the guest editor of a topical volume. Unsolicited contributions may be considered for publication if they meet the aims & scope of Topics in Medicinal Chemistry and conform to the instructions for authors.
The series Topics in Medicinal Chemistry provides a unique value to the medicinal chemistry community, and it is intended for researchers and experts working in academia and in the pharmaceutical industry, and also for graduates that look for a carefully selected collection of high quality review articles on their respective field of expertise. SJR
The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from
It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document
This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.

External Cites per Doc Cites per Doc
Evolution of the number of total citation per document and external citation per document (i.e. journal self-citations removed) received by a journal's published documents during the three previous years.
External citations are calculated by subtracting the number of self-citations from the total number of citations received by the journal’s documents.

Estimated financial value
It represents the potential financial worth of a journal. It is obtained by multiplying the journal's Estimated APC by the total number of citable documents published over the past five years. This value reflects the hypothetical revenue a journal could generate based on its estimated publication costs and scholarly output.
