Scope

La Revista Cubana de Higiene y Epidemiología es el órgano oficial y canal de comunicación científica de la Sociedad Cubana de Higiene y Epidemiología; y su misión fundamental es contribuir al desarrollo de esta disciplina a través de la publicación de artículos científicos sobre epidemiología e higiene ambiental, higiene de los alimentos, medicina del trabajo y otras ramas afines, así como artículos estadísticos relacionados con otras materias. Esta revista es fundada en 1963 y se encuentra disponible en formato electrónico desde 1995.Desde el año 2018 adopta la modalidad de publicación continua, quedando el volumen anual como único compartimento en el que los artículos se incluyen continuamente. Es una revista en Acceso Abierto y todo su contenido está accesible y protegido bajo una Licencia Creative Commons. Está dirigida a profesionales y técnicos en los campos de la higiene, epidemiología, la salud pública así como lo relacionado con la bioestadística. Recibe contribuciones en idioma español sin distinción en el país de procedencia. Los artículos entregados para su evaluación pasan inmediatamente a ser patrimonio de la revista. Los autores solamente conservan el derecho intelectual sobre el contenido. El proceso editorial de la revista se lleva a cabo a través de la plataforma Open Journal Systems (OJS) como parte de la automatización de la gestión editorial. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
