Scope

Congenital Heart Disease: Clinical Studies from Fetus to Adulthood is a new, clinical journal focusing on congenital heart disease in children and adults. Though the number of infants born with heart disease each year is relatively small (approximately 1% of the population), advances in the treatment of such malformations have led to increased life spans for this population. Consequently, in the United States today most patients treated for congenital heart disease are over the age of 20. What are the special needs of adults with congenital heart disease? What are the latest developments in the care of the fetus, infants, and children? Who should treat these patients? How should they be treated? Congenital Heart Disease focuses on these questions and more. Conceived as a forum for the most up-to-date information on congenital heart disease, the journal is led by Editor-in-Chief Douglas S. Moodie, MD, Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, as well as an international editorial board. Congenital Heart Disease publishes articles on heart disease as it relates to the following areas: -Clinical pediatric and adult cardiology -Cardiac imaging -Preventive cardiology -Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization -Electrophysiology -Surgery -Long-term follow-up, particularly as it relates to older children and adult congenital heart disease -Exercise and exercise physiology in the congenital patient -Post-op and critical care -Common disorders such as syncope, chest pain, murmurs, as well as acquired disorders such as Kawasaki syndrome Join the conversation about this journal
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
