Scope Physica C (Superconductivity and its Applications) serves as a rapid channel for peer reviewed publications on superconductivity, its applications and related subjects, covering new developments in superconductivity; such as new materials, unconventional superconductors and Josephson effects. The journal contains papers on the theoretical issues of superconductivity, reports on measurements of a wide variety of physical properties of both type I and type II superconducting materials including the vortex phenomena in superconductors. In the Applied Superconductivity section, articles on all aspects of superconductivity relevant to conductor fabrication and electronic applications are published.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
