Scope

The Journal of Hazardous Materials publishes full-length research papers, review articles, and perspectives that improve our understanding of the hazards and risks that certain materials pose to public health and the environment. Papers that deal with ways of assessing the impact and mitigating the risks of hazardous materials (HM) are within the scope of the journal. The Journal publishes high-impact contributions on: -Characterization of the Harmful Effects of Chemicals and Materials (including contaminants of emerging concern) -Advances in Measurement and Monitoring of HM -Transport and Fate of HM in Environment -Impact Assessment and Mitigation -Physico-chemical and Separation Processes for HM Removal -Advanced Oxidation Process for HM Removal -Thermal Processes for HM Removal -Biological Processes for HM Removal -Demonstrated Safer and Cleaner Technologies with minimization of hazardous effects of HM -Resource Recovery (Energy and Materials) from HM with reduction of hazardous effects of HM Join the conversation about this journal

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
