The Journal of Bali Studies aims to provide space for researchers to share results of their research on Bali and related comparative studies. It is hoped that the Journal of Bali Studies can be a place for scholars and researchers to carry out dialogues in writing for the advancement of studies on Bali in particular and on humanities in general.
The Bali Studies Journal focuses on the publication of studies on various aspects of Bali which include social, cultural, history, literary, architecture, politics, economics, tourism, language, music, and identity. The Journal of Bali Studies also received comparative articles about Bali.

Quartiles
The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from
