Scope

A Cidades, Comunidades e Territórios é uma revista científica na área dos Estudos Urbanos, criada em 2000 por uma equipa de investigadores do antigo Centro de Estudos Territoriais, consolidando um acervo de pesquisa científica e trabalho académico no ISCTE-IUL ao longo de mais de 20 anos. Actualmente é publicada pelo DINÂMIA’CET-IUL. O seu fundador e primeiro Director foi o Professor Vítor Matias Ferreira. A Cidades, agora exclusivamente em formato electrónico, procura disseminar a investigação e a discussão na área científica dos Estudos Urbanos, procurando consolidar-se no meio editorial académico, a nível nacional e internacional, como publicação de referência no seu domínio. A orientação da Cidades baseia-se numa pluralidade de perspectivas teóricas e abordagens disciplinares à análise da cidade, de acordo com o que está consagrado na área científica pluridisciplinar dos Estudos Urbanos. A Cidades procura contribuir para o conhecimento acerca dos problemas e políticas urbanos de modo a intervir e, em geral, no que diz respeito aos processos de transformação das cidades, das comunidades e dos territórios. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
