Scope

A warm welcome to Singapore and to the 8th International Conference on Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Pavements (MAIREPAV-8). This is the first time in the history of this prestigious conference series that it is held in Asia. We thank the International Society for Maintenance and Rehabilitation of Transport Infrastructures (iSMARTi) for the honor and the opportunity to host MAIREPAV-8. We are happy to be the host to this conference. Singapore is the gateway to the exciting world of Southeast Asia. Singapore is also a key transportation and logistics hub of East Asia. Singapore is unique in that it is a melting pot of Asian and European cultures, influenced mainly by Chinese, Malay, Indian, and Eurasian cultures. More than 40 percent of its population is foreigners. This is a place where “East meets West” Singapore is also known to be one of the most business friendly places in the world.
