Materiale și Cercetări Arheologice is an annual Romanian journal publishing rigorously peer-reviewed research in all fields of archaeology and related sciences. It addresses both professionals and the wider audience concerned with the interpretation of the archaeological record around the world and provides a forum for both established scholars and the younger generation.
In addition to articles containing analyses of archaeological data from excavations, surveys, and laboratory research, the MCA publishes articles about archaeological heritage, history of archaeology, as well as technical and methodological studies. Papers are selected on the basis of originality, importance, interdisciplinary interest, timeliness, accessibility, and original conclusions.
MCA also publishes special issues (Supplementum) on a specific theme. Join the conversation about this journal

SJR
The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from
It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.

Estimated financial value
It represents the potential financial worth of a journal. It is obtained by multiplying the journal's Estimated APC by the total number of citable documents published over the past five years. This value reflects the hypothetical revenue a journal could generate based on its estimated publication costs and scholarly output.
