Scope

Increasing legal integration and interdependency places comparative studies at the heart of legal analysis. Research identifying the converging elements and principles in view of a common legal culture of diversity is necessary. This is particularly true for its territorial and socio-cultural dimensions as these regard the organization of living-together. Regarding territorial diversity, the interaction of multiple levels of government in addressing complex governance issues and its regulation is of utmost interest. Comparative federal and autonomy studies shall explore theoretical perspectives and foundations, as well as specific policy areas, exploring in depth pluralistic governance and decision-making. Social and cultural diversity implies a modern understanding of the accommodation of multiple groups’ claims sharing the same territory. Going beyond traditional studies on minorities and their rights, new challenges in the accommodation of differences have to be addressed, including the accommodation of non-traditional forms of diversity. Moreover, often the same instruments can be used for the management of territorial as well as for social and cultural diversities. While privileging a comparative constitutional approach, the series faces new methodological demands and includes trans-disciplinary studies in order to meet the contemporary challenge of diversity in an integrated legal space, in Europe and beyond. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
