Scope The aim of IMAGING is to create an international platform for education and scientific information exchange for students, fellows, clinicians and researchers interested in medical imaging. The journal publishes manuscripts encompassing a wide field of medical imaging, covering topics from cardiothoracic imaging, through abdominal, musculoskeletal and neuroimaging, as well as nuclear medicine and molecular imaging. The journal strives to communicate the latest developments in invasive and non-invasive medical imaging and image analysis to stay current with the tide of new information in order to educate and empower trainees and specialists. Papers are accepted on the basis of scientific significance and suitability for publication and with the understanding that they have not been published, submitted or accepted for publication elsewhere (exception: an abstract in a congress program). The language of the journal is English. IMAGING is a continuing publication of the former IMAS (Interventional Medicine & Applied Science) with a modified name and scope, with a new editorial board, but unchanged publishing house (Akadémiai Kiadó).

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
