Scope

Advances in Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (AMHID) is a vital and pioneering source of peer-reviewed research and information specific to the mental health needs of people with intellectual/learning disabilities. The journal integrates current research with practice and keeps researchers and professionals up to date with a variety of different perspectives and international developments in the field. AMHID supports the delivery of high-quality and evidence-based practice and provides a forum for the debate of current issues and opinions. The editors welcome the submission of papers from researchers, practitioners, managers and academics who are involved in research with or delivering practice to people with intellectual disabilities with additional mental health needs. Articles include: current research developments in the design and delivery of services policy and its implications for practice clinical case studies, enabling professionals to learn from the experience of others and to improve their own practice resource reviews. AMHID is published in partnership with The Estia Centre. Estia Centre logo. "Advances in Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities has become an established forum of knowledge across inter-disciplinary professionals that integrates conceptual thinking, evidence-based practice and research. It is an important aid in facilitating skills development and improvement." Professor Nick Bouras, Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry, King’s College London, Institute of Psychiatry and Maudsley International, UK. Join the conversation about this journal

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
