Scope

Chemical Engineering Transactions (CET) aims to be a leading international journal for publication of original research and review articles in chemical, process, and environmental engineering. CET begin in 2002 as a vehicle for publication of high-quality papers in chemical engineering, connected with leading international conferences. In 2014, CET opened a new era as an internationally-recognised journal. Articles containing original research results, covering any aspect from molecular phenomena through to industrial case studies and design, with a strong influence of chemical engineering methodologies and ethos are particularly welcome. We encourage state-of-the-art contributions relating to the future of industrial processing, sustainable design, as well as transdisciplinary research that goes beyond the conventional bounds of chemical engineering. Short reviews on hot topics, emerging technologies, and other areas of high interest should highlight unsolved challenges and provide clear directions for future research. The journal publishes periodically with approximately 6 volumes per year. Core topic areas: -Batch processing- Biotechnology- Circular economy and integration- Environmental engineering- Fluid flow and fluid mechanics- Green materials and processing- Heat and mass transfer- Innovation engineering- Life cycle analysis and optimisation- Modelling and simulation- Operations and supply chain management- Particle technology- Process dynamics, flexibility, and control- Process integration and design- Process intensification and optimisation- Process safety- Product development- Reaction engineering- Renewable energy- Separation processes- Smart industry, city, and agriculture- Sustainability- Systems engineering- Thermodynamic- Waste minimisation, processing and management- Water and wastewater engineering Join the conversation about this journal
Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.

Evolution of the number of total citation per document and external citation per document (i.e. journal self-citations removed) received by a journal's published documents during the three previous years. External citations are calculated by subtracting the number of self-citations from the total number of citations received by the journal’s documents.
