Scope

Journal of Research in Special Educational Needs (JORSEN) is an established online forum for the dissemination of international research on special educational needs. JORSEN aims to: Publish original research, literature reviews and theoretical papers on meeting special educational needs Create an international forum for researchers to reflect on, and share ideas regarding, issues of particular importance to them such as methodology, research design and ethical issues Reach a wide multi-disciplinary national and international audience through online publication Authors are invited to submit reports of original research, reviews of research and scholarly papers on methodology, research design and ethical issues. Journal of Research in Special Educational Needs will provide essential reading for those working in the special educational needs field wherever that work takes place around the world. It will be of particular interest to those working in: Research Teaching and learning support Policymaking Administration and supervision Educational psychology Advocacy. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
