Scope

Global Security: Health, Science and Policy is an international open access, peer-reviewed journal publishing research related to transnational threats to humankind. Global Security serves as a focal point for security and health information resources and as a tool for mitigating problems across an array of global issues, with the aim of making the world a safer place. The journal seeks to foster interdisciplinary communication at the intersection of health, science and policy and attracts a diverse readership seeking a common platform for discussion and debate. Global Security is tailored to the interests of research scientists, applied scientists, health professionals, toxicologists, risk analysts and policy makers, as well as the intelligence and defense communities. The broad scope of Global Security is a distinguishing characteristic of the journal and encourages synergies between different fields. Areas of research include: • Chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosive threats (CBRNE) • Cybersecurity, crime, warfare, and terrorism • Public health (including disease pandemics, food safety/security, and psychosocial implications) • Climate, energy, and environmental security • Peace and diplomacy studies, political and economic security • Data fusion and other cutting-edge topics Join the conversation about this journal

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document
