Scope

Infectious Medicine is an open access journal publishing papers on any aspect of infection and infectious disease, and focuses on diseases transmitted from animals to humans. It publishes articles on emerging infectious diseases and animal-borne infectious diseases. Submissions on infectious diseases with concern for the health of populations especially emerging infectious diseases are particularly welcomed. The journal publishes topics including: •Clinical study on surveillance, diagnosis, observation and treatment of infection diseases •Epidemiology, prevention and control of infectious diseases and nosocomial infections •Pathogenesis, microbiology and immunology of infection •Research and development of vaccines against infectious diseases •Public health policies, biosecurity and epidemic prevention measures for infectious diseases Articles from any field of infectious diseases and pathogens, including viruses bacteria and parasites will be considered if the article is relevant to the understanding or manipulation of a disease state, diagnosis, and treatment, or understanding the pathogenesis of a disease or host-pathogen interaction. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
