Scope

Studia Litterarum (Literary Studies) is a scholarly journal established by the major research center for the study of world literature and folklore in Russia — A.M. Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IWL RAS, 2016). The journal has both a print and an electronic version. The Internet version is a full-text analogue of the print copy and is in the public domain. The main objective of the journal is to share fundamental and original results of the research in the world literary heritage taken in its broad chronological (from the ancient times to our day) and ethno-geographical (peoples of Russia, Europe, America, Asia, Africa, and Australia) as-pects. It covers the following branches of philological studies: - literary history and theory, - comparative studies, - folklore studies, - textology, literary and folklore sources, - historical and theoretical poetics, - history of philology. Besides articles in literary studies and folklore, the journal invites inter-disciplinary works borde-ring with linguistics, ethnology, art history, cinema and theatre studies, history, and other huma-nitarian disciplines. The journal aims to encourage intellectual exchange among Russian and foreign scholars in regard to the most relevant philological questions and is open to the representatives of different contemporary schools of literary and folklore studies. It publishes the most recent academic studies in literature and folklore not limiting the submitted materials by any constraints related to specific national traditions, research schools or fields of philological knowledge. Quartiles

The set of journals have been ranked according to their SJR and divided into four equal groups, four quartiles. Q1 (green) comprises the quarter of the journals with the highest values, Q2 (yellow) the second highest values, Q3 (orange) the third highest values and Q4 (red) the lowest values.

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.
