Scope

This volume contains the 11 full papers presented at the 7th International Workshop on Performance Modeling, Benchmarking and Simulation of High Performance Computing Systems (PMBS 2016), held as part of the 28th ACM/IEEE International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC 2016) at the Salt Palace Convention Centre in Salt Lake City, Utah on 13-18 November 2016. The SC conference series is the premier international forum for high-performance computing, networking, storage and analysis. The conference is unique in that it hosts a wide range of international participants from academia, national laboratories and industry, and featured over 350 exhibitors in the industry's largest HPC technology fair. This year's conference was themed HPC matters, with a focus on the importance of HPC in a range of scientific endeavours. Today, HPC is being used in a variety of fields including epidemiology, engineering, nuclear research and meteorology. HPC is enabling us to predict the spread of diseases, optimize and verify the designs of car and aeroplane engines, simulate the conditions present at the big bang and provide ever more accurate predictions of future weather conditions. HPC has an influence on every aspect of modern life. Join the conversation about this journal
SJR

The SJR is a size-independent prestige indicator that ranks journals by their 'average prestige per article'. It is based on the idea that 'all citations are not created equal'. SJR is a measure of scientific influence of journals that accounts for both the number of citations received by a journal and the importance or prestige of the journals where such citations come from It measures the scientific influence of the average article in a journal, it expresses how central to the global scientific discussion an average article of the journal is.

Citations per document

This indicator counts the number of citations received by documents from a journal and divides them by the total number of documents published in that journal. The chart shows the evolution of the average number of times documents published in a journal in the past two, three and four years have been cited in the current year. The two years line is equivalent to journal impact factor ™ (Thomson Reuters) metric.
