Welcome to Shanghai! I feel honored in inviting you, the learned participants, to take part in the 17th IEEE/ ACIS International Conference on Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Networking, and ParalleVDistributed Computing (SNPD 2016) sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society and the International Association for Computer and Information Science (ACIS). The conference is organized by Shanghai U niversity and co-organized by Shanghai Key Laboratory of Computer Software Testing & Evaluating. SNPD is a forum that brings together researchers, scientists, engineers, industry practitioners, and students to present their original work, discuss and exchange new ideas, research results, and experiences on all aspects of Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Networking, and ParalleVDistributed Computing. SNPD 2016 received papers from the scientific community representing more than 20 different countries and regions. Three or more members of the Program Committee and additional reviewers were assigned to review each paper. A large number of the papers were of high quality. After the completion of the peer review process, 140 papers were selected for presentation at the conference.
